Rocker Eddie Money Headlined the Event Benefiting The Coalition For The Homeless
ORLANDO, Fla. (April 2, 2008) – For the fourth consecutive year, Dellecker, Wilson, King, McKenna & Ruffier was the presenting sponsor for the annual “Hearts of Gold” event benefiting the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. Firm partner Brian Wilson currently serves as chairman of the organization’s board of directors.
The March 13th fundraiser at Hard Rock Live raised $200,000 for the Coalition for the Homeless. The event featured a silent auction and performance by Eddie Money, the 1970s rock musician whose hits include “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Baby Hold On”.
“This socially responsible firm has believed in our mission and supported the Coalition’s work for a number of years,” stated Coalition President/CEO Brent Trotter.
The Coalition for the Homeless (www.centralfloridahomeless.org) is the largest provider of homeless services in Central Florida. In the most recent fiscal year, the Coalition served more than 310,000 meals and provided over 227,000 nights of shelter to homeless individuals.
