Award recognizes commitment to access to justice

  ORLANDO, Fla. (January 13, 2010) – The American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section is honoring Samuel P. King of Orlando, Fla. with the Pursuit of Justice Award, which recognizes lawyers and judges who have shown outstanding merit and who excel in providing access to justice for all. The award will be presented to King during the ABA Midyear Meeting in Orlando at the TIPS dinner and reception at Disney’s Atlantic Dance Hall, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. King is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been a board certified civil trial lawyer by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Certification for more than a decade. His practice concentrates in the areas of automobile negligence, personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, insurance coverage and insurance bad faith. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a national and prestigious group of trial lawyers, limited only to those lawyers who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. King is a member of the Florida Bar where he served on the executive committee for the Trial Lawyers Section from 2004-2008.   ORLANDO, Fla. (December 5, 2011) – William E. Ruffier, named partner with the Orlando based personal injury law firm, Dellecker Wilson King McKenna Ruffier & Sos, LLP, was presented the Lutheran Lamb Award by the Lutheran Committee on Civic Youth Agency Relationships (LCCYAR).  The national award recognizes Ruffiers’s 25 years of distinguished volunteer service as a Christian role model and leader for young people.  Having served various leadership roles within the Boy Scouts of America, including positions on the Central Florida Council Executive Board, Ruffier has been instrumental in fostering spiritual growth and leadership skills among Orlando’s young men for years. “I have known and served with Bill on various church boards as well as through Boy Scouts for many years.  His desire for building youth through faith-filled character shows in all that he does, and in how he lives his life.  I am extremely proud to have nominated Bill for this high honor, certain he will live up to the standards the Lamb Award expects and demands.  He is truly an asset to those around him and to the Central Florida community,” remarked Peter Krzyzak, long time friend of Ruffier.
