Born in Puerto Rico, raised in New York and New Jersey, Liza now calls Florida home. After attending Fordham University with a concentration in Pre-Law/Political Science, she earned a degree in Paralegal Studies from Valencia College. Liza is a member of the Orange County Bar Association – Paralegal Section.
Liza has extensive experience in personal injury law, having worked in the field since 1996. She joined the Dellecker Wilson King McKenna Ruffier and Sos team in 2013 and assisted in pre-suit and litigation cases. Liza now works in litigation, helping on a wide range of cases that includes complex medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, wrongful death, and dram shop cases at both the state and federal level. She also assists Mr. McKenna with pro-bono guardian ad litem cases.
The call to work in injury law was a personal one for Liza, who experienced firsthand the trauma and devastation of seeing a loved one critically injured by the negligence of someone else. From her own experience, Liza understands the importance of compassion and human emotion in these scenarios, and strives to give our clients support on both a professional and human level.
As a paralegal for Dellecker Wilson King McKenna Ruffier and Sos, Liza enjoys knowing that she is part of an amazing and dedicated team which works diligently to obtain justice for the clients. She especially enjoys the complex cases where she is constantly challenged to think outside the box.
When she isn’t fighting for our clients, Liza enjoys going on culinary adventures with her son and daughter, taking care of her fur grandson- Wynston, learning about different languages and cultures, traveling, and spending time at her favorite place: the beach at sunset.
